Fleet technology
Fleet management products and solution categories
Fleet Manager Australia is not publishing a fixed product catalogue yet. This page explains the core product categories Australian fleets usually evaluate, and how they fit together.
Core solution categories
Fleet management software
The dashboard and reporting layer for vehicles, drivers, assets, alerts, maintenance records, utilisation, and daily operations.
GPS tracking hardware
Installed, plug-in, or battery-powered devices that report location, movement, and vehicle or asset data into software.
Dashcams and video telematics
Camera systems that can support incident review, driver coaching, insurance conversations, and safety investigations.
Managed services
Implementation, installation, training, device management, reporting setup, and ongoing support for busy operators.
What to compare before buying
| Area | Questions to ask |
|---|---|
| Fleet size | Will the system still work when you add more vehicles, users, depots, subcontractors, or equipment? |
| Hardware type | Do you need plug-in devices, hardwired devices, asset trackers, dashcams, or a mixed setup? |
| Reports | Can the software answer the operational questions your team actually asks each week? |
| Rollout | Who installs devices, configures alerts, trains staff, writes policy notes, and checks the data is useful? |
| Data handling | How will you explain location, camera, driver, and vehicle data collection to staff and contractors? |
Future product direction
The long-term plan is to support SaaS and GPS tracking hardware first, then expand into dashcams, installation, managed service, maintenance, fuel, driver behaviour, compliance reporting, and reseller support.
Until those offers are finalised, this site will stay focused on practical education and buying guidance.
